Sarfaraz Khan Test Debut

Sarfaraz Khan Test Debut: On Thursday, February 15, Sarfaraz Khan received his first-ever India cap as he was named in the playing eleven for the third Test against England in Rajkot. The Indian team, facing the absence of some players, decided to make several changes for this crucial game.

In light of KL Rahul’s injury and Shreyas Iyer’s exclusion after the second Test, the team management granted debuts to both Sarfaraz Khan, who took Iyer’s place, and wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel, who replaced the underperforming KS Bharat. Two additional changes were made to the team that secured victory in the second Test in Vishakhapatnam – Ravindra Jadeja stepped in for Axar Patel, and Mohammed Siraj replaced Mukesh Kumar. Jadeja had missed the previous Test due to a hamstring injury, while Siraj was given a rest.

Upon earning his debut opportunity for Team India, Sarfaraz Khan experienced an emotional moment as his father, Naushad Khan, joined the cap presentation ceremony on the field. As Sarfaraz received his first Test cap, his father couldn’t contain his emotions, and tears welled up in his eyes.

Earlier in the month, Sarfaraz acknowledged the crucial role his father played in his career, emphasizing the significance of hard work, self-belief, and patience. Reflecting on his maiden India call-up, Sarfaraz mentioned that he often teared up with the thought of his selection but credited his father’s advice to keep working hard, instilling the belief that with dedication, he would become unstoppable. # Sarfaraz khan Test Debut
