Delhi all-rounder Lalit Yadav, while acknowledging the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction, remains committed to his current performance in the Delhi Premier League (DPL). Leading the Purani Delhi 6 in the absence of Rishabh Pant, Yadav and his team secured their first win of the season against the West Delhi Lions.
The Purani Delhi 6 delivered a strong bowling performance, restricting the West Delhi team to 141 runs. In response, the Lalit Yadav-led team chased down the target with 17 balls to spare, thanks to a solid knock from opener Arpit Rana.

“It’s a great feeling to secure our first win,” Lalit said. “It will give us confidence going forward and change the atmosphere in the dressing room. Rishabh and Ishant Bhaiya have shared their insights, making the newcomers feel confident.”

While the IPL 2025 mega auction looms large, Lalit Yadav remains focused on his current performance in the DPL. He emphasized that the tournament provides a valuable platform for young players to showcase their skills and attract attention from franchises.
“DPL is a great platform for me and all the youngsters playing in the tournament,” Lalit said. “It’s going on air and the franchises are watching you. But I’m telling myself to focus on the DPL first. And if God is willing, I’ll have something in my hand as well.”
