Following the conclusion of the group stage in the U19 Men’s World Cup 2024, the matchups for the Super Six phase have been revealed. Twelve teams are gearing up to compete for the championship in this next round. Advancing to the Super Six phase are India, Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, Nepal, South Africa, England, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, the teams from the USA, Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland have been eliminated from the tournament and will now vie for the last four positions through playoff matches.
In the upcoming phase of the U19 Men’s World Cup 2024, the Super Six stage will comprise the top three teams from each of the four groups. Groupings for the next round will see teams from Groups A and D forming one group, while teams from Groups B and C will constitute the other group in the tournament’s subsequent stage.
India, Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal have advanced from Groups A and D, while South Africa, England, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe have qualified from Groups B and C in the U19 Men’s World Cup 2024. In the Super Six stage, each team will compete in two matches against opponents from their respective groups, who finished the group stage at different positions.
In light of this, India, having secured the top spot in Group A, is scheduled to face off against the second and third-placed teams from Group D, namely New Zealand and Zimbabwe, in the Super Six stage. The top two teams from each group in the Super Six stage will progress to the semi-final stage of the tournament, with the semi-finals set to take place on February 6 and 8, and the final scheduled for February 11.

As the defending champions, India is once again positioned as the frontrunner to clinch the trophy in the U19 Men’s World Cup 2024. Besides India, other formidable contenders for the title include Australia, Pakistan, England, West Indies, and South Africa.

India holds the record for the most U19 World Cup titles, boasting a total of five championships in the years 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022.
