Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as India’s next head coach, succeeding Rahul Dravid following India’s victorious T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. Gambhir, a former Indian cricketer known for his pivotal roles in winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, expressed his honor and commitment to serving the country in this new role.

Team and Coaching Staff Transition

With Gambhir’s appointment as Head Coach, the BCCI confirmed the conclusion of the tenures of assistant coaches Vikram Rathour (batting), Paras Mhambrey (bowling), and T Dilip (fielding), who had worked under Dravid.
